Sunday 8th May 2022

This morning a train turned up at the aire. Maybe whoever decided that the aire at Anduze was really nice was a steam train buff?

Lots of people got on.

The engine went into a siding and then came back so it was at the front of the train leaving the station.

We travelled north east into the gorges of the river Ardeche.

We parked for the day close to the famous natural limestone arch across the Ardeche

It was a short walk from our parking place to a good view of Pont D'Arc.

The river here is very popular with canoeists.

There of lots of companies here offering canoe hire and the facility to come and pick you up from downstream.

There's a flock of sheep here.

We're parked right next to a vineyard. Here's the view from the side of our van.

There's a nice looking eatery just across the vines. I went over and asked the staff what time they would be open for evening meal only to be told they were closed for the day. We still haven't managed to eat out on this trip!

Today we travelled 42 miles (68 kilometres). We are at: N44.3841 E4.4133
