This morning we talked to one of the people who works at Travara Pier. They are salmon farmers. They let us fill our fresh water tank from the tap on the side wall of their depot. We travelled east stopping briefly in the nearby village of Eyeries seen here.
We turned west from Kenmare along the famous Ring of Kerry and stopped for the day on a small pier at Tahilla on the south coast of the Iveragh Peninsula. Here's a view from our parking place.
I didn't notice anything particularly interesting about either the exterior or the interior. I'm afraid we've got a bit spoiled by some of the spectacular ecclesiastic buildings we've seen on this trip.
Further along the lane it opens up with views to the sea and south to the mountains on the Beara Peninsula.
Today we travelled 44 miles (71 kilometres). We are at N51.8282 W9.8221

It's interesting to see how the houses are painted in bright cheerful colours. Must help to offset the grey clouds!

Yes- it's a bit similar in Sneem where we are today - multicoloured buildings. Tobermory on Mull in Scotland has similar as has parts of Bristol in South West England. Once people start painting their houses different colours everyone else seems to join in!
