Monday 22nd November 2021

While the church in Ardfelt had been quiet on Sunday afternoon quite a lot of people turned up on Monday morning.

From Ardfelt we travelled up the coast of Kerry stopping to look at the beach and cliffs at Ballybunion.

We arrived at Tarbert on the banks of the Shannon Estuary just as the ferry from the other side was arriving.

We were soon loaded on board. The crossing from Co Kerry to Co Clare took about 20 minutes.

Rather than flying across this Rook hitched a ride on the ferry. These are intelligent birds!

We stopped a few times while passing along the impressive Kilkee Cliffs.

We would have liked to stop for the day and night here but could not find anywhere sufficiently level to have parked comfortably.

We stopped for the day at a car park by the sea on the outskirts of Kilkee town. Here's the view out to sea from our parking place.

We can look back to Kilkee town from here.

From here we can also see this headland.

As dusk approached Ann went for a walk along the cliff top path.

The sun goes down about 16.30 round here at this time of year.

Today we travelled 78 miles (126 kilometres). We are at: N52.6818 W9.6641
