Saturday 13th November 2021

The sun came out about 8.00 this morning at Ardmore. We serviced the van and left 12 euros in the honesty box. We travelled west stopping at Yougal to buy groceries and at Cork to take on diesel and LPG.

We stopped for the day at the town of Kinsale. We are parked next to the estuary of a small stream which looks very big around midday today as the tide is in.

We took a walk to the harbour.

Kinsale styles itself as the culinary capitol of Ireland.

Our guide book author reckons Fishy Fishy serves "the best mussels you'll ever eat".  I wasn't going to miss out whatever the cost!

Fishy Fishy was quite busy this lunchtime but luckily they had a table for us. They have some fairly original decor.

I had fish soup to start - absolutely sensationally delicious! Ann didn't want a starter.

We had a bottle of Fishy's house Pinot Grigio.

Of course I had mussels for main course, they were just as nice as the guide book author said they would be. Ann had deep fried Brie.

For pud Ann had sticky toffee pudding and I had trifle - both very classy. It's not cheap to eat at Fishy Fishy but in my opinion it's worth every euro.

We wandered back to our van well full up.

We saw this heron just across the stream from our parking place.

As darkness fell over Kinsale we decided that we were too well fed to want any tea.

Today we travelled 59 miles (95 Kilometres). We are at: N51.7062 W8.5171
