Thursday 18th November 2021

It was very misty and wet today. We travelled the short distance west to the town of Sneem where we did a grocery shop and stopped for the day.

We found a nice parking place by the river with picnic tables.

We walked towards town along the river.

This mural is on the wall of the community centre.

We came upon some unusual structurers.

I think that they're called the pyramids.

Nearer still to town is the church.

Here's the interior.

In town we had a pub lunch sat by a log fire.

To drink Ann had Guinness and I had Murphy's - very Irish!

To eat Ann had bacon and brie on toasted ciabatta, I had fish soup with brown bread. We both had chocolate fudge cake with ice cream for pud.

Gaelic Football seems to be very popular round here.

Later on I went out to the off licence which had been closed earlier to buy some supplies - it's in Riney's Bar.

Later still Ann went out.

She took a few pics.

Here's a view across the river. Overall I would rate Sneem quite highly as somewhere to spend a wet day.

Today we travelled 5 miles (8 kilometres). We are at N51.8353 W9.9016

Hi Sraddhabha, Yes Ireland is a really great place to visit. We have been here quite a few times and we always want to come back. The only possible downside is that's it a bit pricey but so what!
