Wednesday 12th June 2019

When we got up this morning it was still raining but it soon brightened up and we drove into Quiberon and parked in the pay and display car park. It was a real  problem to get the ticket machine to give me a ticket but after about 5 tries I managed it!

By now the weather was absolutely beautiful!

There is a really nice sandy beach here.

We walked along the beach.

There is this strange folly on the edge of town.

We had lunch in a seafront restaurant. I had moules and chips.

Ann had a pudding.

We moved on and visited the Dolmen at Crucuno.

Very impressive state of preservation.

There  are some megaliths nearby but we didn't manage to find a way to get to them.

We saw this nice old barn,

We visited the megalithic alignments at Edeven.

These are part of the same system of prehistoric alignments as the more famous Carnac alignments nearby.

A very special place with an amazing aura!

We moved on and stopped for the day by an estuary near to the village of Locoal-Mendon. Here's the view through the windscreen of our van.

This is a really beautiful quiet place. This is the view out of the side door of our van.

Today we travelled 33 miles (53 kilometres). We are at N47.69712 W3.15897
