Monday 10th June 2019

As it had been raining heavily when we arrived at Brillac yesterday and it was sunny this morning we decided to have a walk around.

We soon saw this Shell Duck.

We walked along the coastal path.

They seem very keen on sailing around here.

This is looking back towards the village of Brillac from the coastal path.

The vegetation is lush along the coastal path.

We came upon this small beach.

A little further on we saw many of these Marbled White butterflies.

We walked back to Brillac along quiet country lanes. We passed several flower rich meadows.

When we got back to our van we had a chat with the French couple who were renting the holiday cottage next to our parking place. The man had been to Devon as a student learning English.

We moved on passing through the city of Vannes to the west side of the Gulf of Morbihan. We tried to do a supermarket shop but they were all closed after lunch due to it being Whitsun (whatever that is). We stopped for the day at this absolutely beautiful spot close to the village of Locmiquel.

This place is absolutely lovely.

You really couldn't wish for a nicer stopover.

We took a short walk.

Here's the nearby beach.

This is the view from the door on the side of our van.

As the tide went out a few Egrets turned up to scavenge on the beach.

The tide went out a long way. But as evening draws in it has now come right back up.

Today we travelled 37 miles (60 kilometres). We are at N47.58503 W2.92189
