Sunday 23rd June 2019

It was raining this morning. We serviced the van before leaving Huelgoat - water cost 3 euros for 10 minutes at the service point - bit of a rip off! Moved on and visited the nearby Menhir of Kerampeulven seen here.

Next stop was the gallery grave of Mougau Bihan.

The monument is in a very good state of preservation.

There are some engravings on the inside of the stones.

Our final megalithic monument of the day was the gallery grave of Kernic.  This is on the beach. I imagine sea levels were lower 5000 years ago.

There is Samphire growing on the sand inside the monument.

We stopped for the day at Brignogan-Plages having previously tried several other places only to be met with no overnight parking signs.

There are lots of beautiful rocks here.

We had a walk along the shore and on the beach.

We hope that we are parked unobtrusively. We are right next to a campsite which often indicates unfriendly territory!

We went out for a meal in the local restaurant.

Ann had chicken salad, a crepe with bacon and cheese and a crepe with chocolate sauce and cream. I had prawn salad, a crepe with scallops, cheese and leek puree and a crepe with lemon and cream. All this was accompanied by a bottle of Muscadet.

When we got back to our van the tide had come in a lot.

There were a few people swimming.

Today we travelled 67 miles (108 kilometres). We are at N48.67131 W4.32859
