Tuesday 18th June 2019

This morning we travelled back a short way south to visit the prehistoric gallery grave remains at Pors Poulhan.

This site has clearly been extensively reconstructed on modern times and would have originally been covered by an earth mound.

The interpretive centre has a raised balcony from where you can get a panoramic view of the site.

We moved on to Pointe du Raz (the most westerly point in mainland France?) but it was so crowded that we left and parked at the nearby Pointe du Van from where I took this photo of Pointe du Raz.

The vegetation here is quite extraordinary.

In particular this very strange plant.

We walked to the Point.

There are some fine views from here.

The coast here is quite reminiscent of West Penwith in Cornwall.

We could see the low lying Ile de Sein in the far distance.

We moved on the short distance to Pointe de Brezellec and stopped for the day. Here's the view from the door on the side of our van. This is a really beautiful calm and quiet place for an overnight stop.

Today we travelled 28 miles (45 kilometres). We are at N48.06963 W4.66437
