This afternoon we visited the ancient site at Eraclea Minoa.
I found it really disappointing.
The main feature here is a Roman theatre built of very very soft rock which the archaeologists saw fit to cover with a roof after they had excavated it. The roof was recently badly damaged in a storm and pieces of it are strewn around the site.
We moved on south east along the coast and stopped for the night at San Leone just south of Agrigento. We saw this nice sunset.
We are parked just next to the port. There are two other vans here, both Italian registered.
Today we travelled 80 miles (129 kilometres). we are at N37.26213 E13.57911
