There were some nice but quite small waves coming in when we got up this morning at Marina di Regusa.

There was also what you might describe as a "Turner Sky".

We travelled east moving from the south coast of Sicily to the east coast. Here the waves were really big - we stopped at a small port to watch them.

The waves were coming over the breakwater big time.

We spent a lot of time to today searching for the Reserva Naturale di Vendicari where our guidebook reckoned there would be lots of birds at this time of year including storks, cranes and pelicans. Eventually we found the entrance to the reserve down a very narrow side road but when we got there it was impossible to park and we only just managed to turn our van round and return to the main road. We are staying tonight on an Aire at Marina di Noto. It costs 15 euros but that includes water, electricity etc.

We took a walk down to the sea which is about 500 metres away from the Aire.

On the way back we passed this flowering bush.

Today we travelled 60 miles (97 kilometres). We are at N36.87057 E15.12843
