Monday 11th December 2017

It was very windy during the night and also this morning at Bosa Marina.

We spent quite a while wandering around on the seafront watching the waves. Despite Ann's attire the wind was actually quite warm and coming in from the south. We are quite close to Africa here.

We moved off south stopping for a while for Ann to investigate this interesting looking coastal tower.

We stopped briefly in the city of Orisano to service the van. We then came west to Capo San Marco and stopped at the Roman archaeological site of Thassos.

The site is closed on Mondays so we walked past it out towards the end of the Cape.

You can see quite a lot of the ruins through the fence.

Apparently these two "Corinthian Columns" were added in recent years to make the site more attractive to paying visitors!

Out at the end of the cape there are the remains of a roman cemetery.

While returning from the extremity of the cape we had this great view of the waves coming in.

Nearby we saw this 6th/11th Century Chapel.

Anyway that's what the sign outside appears to be saying.

Very nearby we've found this marvellous quiet parking place a couple of metres from the Golfo di Orisano to spend the night.

From here you can look across the Golfo to Orisano Port.

Today we travelled 61 miles ( 98 kilometres). We are at N39.88078 E8.44192
