Friday 8th December 2017

This morning we took on water from the posh boats service taps, emptied our toilet cassette in the Harbour Master's posh loos, and bought another 6 bottles of Cannonau di Sardegna in the port supermarket. We set off west - here's a view from along the road.

We stopped for the day at a car park by the beach just south of the town of Stintino.

A few wind surfers were doing their thing here when we arrived.

You can look across to Stintino from here.

A lot of vegetation has washed up along parts of the beach here forming strange sculptural shapes.

Behind the beach are brackish lagoons which are the haunt of numerous flamingos.

Here's the view from the sliding door on the side of our van. The wind surfers have all gone now and we've got the place to ourselves. It's getting windy and starting to rain. The Italian Meteorological Service have issued a yellow warning for wind and rain in this area for the next 24 hours.

Today we traveled 44 miles (71 kilometres). We are at N40.90286 E8.23618
