Ann was poorly in the night, she had problems breathing. In the morning I noticed that the van's skylights were covered in pollen from the horse chestnut tree we were parked underneath. We moved the van away to the other side of the parking area and she soon started feeling better! We moved on the short distance to this brilliant viewpoint high above Portsmouth with amazing views down into the city. We had some coffee and admired the view for a while.
From there we travelled east to Brighton and then north east to Ann's daughter Kerry and her husband Gareth's house in Kent. Kerry, Ann, Wilf (Kerry's dog) and I went for a walk around the perimeter of the free range chicken farm next to Kerry's house. Ann was on her mobility scooter and she could easily outpace the rest of us! I was very remiss in not photographing any of this trip, The outing must have been quite exhausting for Ann and Wilf as they can bee seen here asleep in front of Kerry and Gareth's big telly.
Kerry and Gareth are very hospitable. Gareth had been out sailing with his friend today but he was soon making G&Ts etc,
Kerry cooked us a lovely meal. Asparagus, chicken, mushroom and ham pie in a roux sauce with puff pasty! Then fruit crumble and cream for pud.
Today we travelled 96 miles (155 kilometres).
