Sunday 11th May 2025

We travelled east today via Belgium and Luxembourg ending back in France. You might just be able to see the border sign entering Luxembourg in this pic!?

We stopped for the day at the Aire at Rodemack.

From the Aire a footpath leads to the old town. Unfortunately the footpath  has a lot of steps so I went on my own.

A little bridge takes you over a stream and next to the town walls.

There are higher fortifications towering above the town.

The laundry.

The place was very quiet on a Sunday afternoon.

The church looks quite modern.

This van seems to be the only open eatery in town.

I left through this gateway arch.

Back outside the town walls.

I climbed up onto the ramparts through a doorway in the walls.

There are fine views up here.

An arrow slit?

Another view of the high fortifications this time from the ramparts.

Flowering horse chestnuts - Ann would do well to avoid these !

Going back over the little bridge I passed a couple of Germans who are parked near to us on the Aire.

The footpath to the Aire has steep steps - looking up......

.....and looking down.

It was very hot this afternoon. Ann sat in her chair. I tried to keep in the shade.

Later on we went for a short walk together and saw these cows.

It did cool down but only by at about 21.30.

Today we travelled 77 miles (124 kilometres). We are at: N49.4664 E6.2321
