Friday 2nd May 2025

We left home about 11.00 and after stopping off at Trago Mills to take on diesel, we travelled east on A30/A303 to Amesbury, stopping along the way for a cup of tea and a rest.

We parked for the day at this very nice area just behind a service station, hotel and burger joint just off the A303 on the outskirts of Amesbury.

Ann set off for a spin on her newly acquired wheels!

As this was her first proper outing on her mobility scooter she had a few hairy moments but soon got the hang of it.

We stopped for a rest before heading back to our parking place.

Lots of people and dogs out along the riverside in the hot weather.

Ann insists on doing the cooking when we are travelling in our van. She made what she calls shepherdess pie for our tea - very nice. We had strawberries for pud which we had bought from a layby seller on the A303.

It's been a beautiful evening here.

Today we travelled 116 miles (187 kilometres). We are at: N51.1788 W1.7796
