Ann and Roger travel

We travelled south today stopping off for groceries. We saw a few storks sitting on their nests.

We stopped for a rest and Ann had a little sleep.

We stopped for the day at the Aire at Walscheid. Here's the view out of our sliding door.

There are quite a few vans here. We're parked in the car park rather than the Aire itself.

We got to talk to a German man who is travelling by bike with a small tent.

He is 82.

Ann and I walked some of the way around the lake.

We had a rest and then came back.

Here's looking back to the Aire across the lake. Our van is on the right next to the German man's tent.

The lake has a beach and swimming area.

Lots of people were out enjoying the sunshine.......

.....and the beer.

For tea we had grilled asparagus followed by chicken tagine and a supermarket cake for pud.

We are parked next to the boule pitch.

The German man does some boule refereeing. We gave him some beer and some left over chicken tagine.

I walked around the lake, a distance of 0.66 kilometres according to my Samsung Health App!
