Autumn's come to Widecombe and it's time to load up our campervan and head south.

The birds will have to put up with not being fed for a couple  of months or so.

We're all set to go!

We left Widecombe at about 14.00 and arrived at Poole Ferry Terminal at about 17.00. We wanted to stop along the way for a meal but we didn't find anywhere open so we cooked in the van when we arrived here.

We are very familiar with this ferry terminal however it's a pretty bleak place. This is the cafe, even though we've visited here several times, we've never found it open! There are a few other vans here this evening. We're booked onto the Brittany Ferries departure to Cherbourg at 8.30 tomorrow.

Today we travelled 106 miles (171 kilometres). We are at N50.7099 W1.9959

Hi Roger and Ann. Looking forward to reading about your travels again. Hope your crossing today wasn't too rough!
