This morning a couple of large black feral dogs which we had seen yesterday turned up at the Aire again. They seemed friendly enough and did not threaten us in any way. They did however behave completely differently from domestic dogs relying on each other as to what to do next.

We visited the remains of a nearby Roman Town.

This site is very extensive and is still in the course of being excavated.

There are a lot of very well preserved features of the 2000 year old town.

After our visit to the Roman site we made a long journey west stopping en route at Logrono for a cup of tea and to take on diesel. We stopped for the day at the Aire at San Vincente De La Sonsierra which is next to this beautiful medieval bridge over the river Ebro.

The bridge is now restricted to pedestrians and cyclists.

The town's church stands high above the river.

There is a large grassy area between the aire and the river.

Just below the bridge the river flows over a weir.

Beyond the weir is the new bridge which now takes motor vehicles over the Ebro.

The Aire itself, seen here in front of the white wall supporting the new road, is rather disappointing being subject to road noise and not particularly level.

Today we travelled 101 miles (163 kilometres). We are at: N42.5589 W2.7597
