Monday 17th October 2022

It rained a little this morning. We serviced the van before leaving El Grado and travelled south west to Barbastro were we bought groceries and filled up our LPG tanks. We then travelled west passing this hill top monastery.

Heading towards the city of Huesca we were briefly held up by crossing sheep.

We stopped for the day at the Aire at Huesca - seen here.

Nearby there is a exercise area.

There was a fair amount of macho posturing going on!

We went out for some food at a nearby bar.

We had salad, octopus, cod and.......

......potatoes. All very nice and reasonably priced. I think it's worth avoiding restaurants around these parts and eating at bars where you can turn up at any time and just have a few small plates.

We saw this nice sunset from our parking place this evening.

Today we travelled 51 miles (82 kilometres). We are at: N42.1351 W0.4203

Dear Roger and Ann,
Great to be following you again on your travels to warmer climes. I see you are in Huesca close to a little village called Santa Engracia where Miguel de Eyto who is married to Eleanor comes from. I am sure you must have met them in Trim several times. They are great friends of ours. They spent 6 weeks this summer in his home village. Eleanor would love to read your blog if there was anyway to invite her. Her email is deeyto@gmail.com.
Did you receive my email sent in reply to yours? My eircom account stated it was sent but I am not wholly convinced. I am changing to another email server which is given in the email I sent you.
Safe driving.
Love Anne-Marie and Richard
