Saturday 15th October 2022

It's been a really beautiful sunny day. We left Campan heading south and went up towards a pass through beautiful autumn coloured forests.

We stopped briefly on the pass.

There were marvelous views.

Having descended from the pass we stopped for a cup of tea where Ann amused herself watching some sheep being herded onto a lorry and taken off to who knows where!

We climbed up high again and entered the Bielsa tunnel which takes the road under the main divide of the Pyrenees.

We exited the tunnel into Spain.

We stopped for the day at the Aire at Ainsa where we have stayed at least twice before. Here's the view from the side door of our van where we are parked. It costs 6 euros for 24 hours to stay here. It's the first time we've paid for an overnight stay on this trip so far.

There's a rock concert on in this huge tent tonight.

I wandered into town to see if I could buy some bread but there were only a couple of souvenir shops open.

There was some nice light on the mountains as the sun went down.

Today we travelled 68 miles (109 kilometres). We are at: N42.4181 E0.1337
