Today we travelled south. Our sat nav started playing up and tried a couple of times to put us onto toll motorways even though we had set it to avoid both toll roads and motorways. After it had taken us out of our way it calmed down and navigated us to our intended destination in the village of Availles Sur Seiche. We parked next to a weeping willow by a small watercourse at the Aire de Camping Car.

We wandered into the village centre. Here's the church - locked unfortunately. There's a notice on the door to say that there's a mass here every Thursday at 18.00.

We saw this interesting little gargoyle on the church wall.

Cheeses was on his cross in the churchyard.

We wanted to buy a few groceries in the village but there didn't seem to be a shop. There was however this nice mural. On our way back to the van Ann collected a load of apples which had fallen from trees along the way.

Having failed to find a shop in the village we left our good parking place and visited a supermarket in the nearby town. When we returned to the Aire a German registered van had bagged our good parking place. This was no problem as we found another even better parking place just the other side of the large weeping willow. Here's the view from the sliding door on the side of our van.

We even have our own bench just outside!

Today we travelled 91 miles (147 kilometres). We are at: N47.9626 W1.1997
