This morning we came south to the town of Lombez where we took on LPG. The countryside around here is quite rolling.

We stopped to have a look at this old church. It was locked.

As we continued south we started to see the misty outlines of big mountains. We stopped for the day at the aire de camping cars in the village of Boussens.

The aire is next to this lake. I walked into the village and bought a baguette.

The lake is frequented by many species of birds.

Just down the road is the appropriately named Hotel du Lac. This water feature is just outside.

The hotel restaurant menu looks nice. At 38 euros we thought that it would be a bit too posh for us so we had tea in our van.

What sort of a bird is this? Some class of Heron? Is Tony Marchese following the blog?

This goose hangs out with a load of ducks. I think it thinks it is a duck. It came to visit us at our van. Ann fed it some bread.

Today we travelled 54 miles (87 kilometres). We are at: N43.1777 E0.9747

Good choice Roger, I'm sure beans on toast and a bottle of red wine will be a lot cheaper than 38 euros!

I really don't know anything about birds but I think your elegant one on the shore of Lac Boussens is an juvenile grey heron.
