It was cold in the van when Ann got up to turn the central heating on, only 2 degrees on the thermometer. After breakfast we visited the small supermarket in Perles et Castelet where we bought some food and drink and emptied our waste tanks and took on fresh water at the service point the supermarket had installed in it's car park. We set off east and stopped at the col du Chioula.

Ann made the acquaintance of some cows. Some had bells round their necks. The route up to the col was very scenic with numerous hairpin bends.

We stopped for the day at a picnic area fairly close to the town of Quillan. Here's the view out of the sliding door on the side of our van.

This old roadside shrine is very close to our parking place. There are no rubbish bins here. Unfortunately there is a lot of litter. We picked up what was along the side of our van as a token gesture.

Apart from the litter this is a really nice spot.

Today we travelled 36 miles (58 kilometres). We are at N42.8834 E2.1355
