Saturday 18th November 2017

It was very cold in the night at Die but now we have our extra special warm duvet it was no problem at all for us. The police never came round to collect the 5 euros parking fee. We moved off south and soon came across these amazing roadside "boulders".

There must have been an absolutely monumental collapse from the mountainside to create this lot!

We moved on following the directions of our sat nav until we came to a road junction with a sign indicating that the pass ahead was closed. We briefly retraced our route and got onto a more major road to reach the Col de Cabre at 1180 metres. Here's the Hotel, Bar and Restaurant at the Col.

The col is on the border between Rhone-Alpes and Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur regions.

Here's the view from the col looking south in our direction of travel.

We had a cup of tea on the Col de Cabre before moving on.

We stopped for the day at the Aire in Larange-Monteglin. The water at the Aire was turned off - presumably as a frost precaution. We took a walk into town - here's our first view of the church.

Inside wasn't much better.

They do have some nice stained glass windows. Ann reckons these are comparatively modern.

We passed a cafe with people sitting outside in mid November - we must be in the South of France now!

We temporarily moved from the Aire to the large supermarket on the edge of town where we did a shop and a clothes wash in the supermarket's launderette. We then went back to the Aire and watched Manchester United playing Newcastle on our laptop. I hate to think how many Gb of data this used up!

Today we traveled 64 miles (103 kilometres). We are at N44.31197 E5.82588
