We did a supermarket shop before leaving Bagnoles and seviced the van at Couterne a few kilometres to the south. We traveled first east and then south. We stopped along the way to admire the stupendous autumn colours of the beeches in the forests along the way.

We stopped again further on for a cup of tea in this forest glade. It rained on and off all day.

We crossed from Normandy into Pays de la Loire and stopped for the day at a car park by this lake at St Calais.

Ann saw these swans. Unfortunately there was a very heavy rainstorm which carried on till it got dark so that was that for today's outdoor activities!

Today we traveled 94 miles (151 kilometres). We are at: N47.93400 E0.74615

Saint Calais
