This morning it was sunny and hot at Gamla Uppsala . Ann went to visit the nearby burial mounds. We returned to the LPG depot we had found yesterday and filled up our tanks.

We traveled south west. We stopped at the town of Vasteras to buy groceries.

We found this really fabulous wild camping spot by chance when we went sniffing around down a side road on the banks of the enormous lake called Hjalmaren.

This is a really incredibly beautiful spot.

We had a really nice meal - grilled asparagus, crispy smoked ham, fillet steak and fresh bread all washed down with a nice bottle of Syrah and followed by blueberries and raspberries with cream!

Mayflies, or perhaps round here you should call them Juneflies, were dancing everywhere.

There was an absolutely fabulous sunset. I can honestly say that this is one of the very nicest places that I have ever had the privilege to stay at.

Today we traveled 111 miles (179 kilometres). We are at N59.22900 E16.07165
