Another beautiful hot summer day. There are poppies growing everywhere in the fields.

We visited Fanefjord church. Very similar to the church at Elmelunde.

Inside were the same amazing medieval frescos which had clearly been painted by the same artist who decorated the interior of the church at Elmelunde.

These frescos have only been rediscovered in recent years. At the time of the reformation they were whitewashed over and were forgotten for centuries. Some of the biblical scenes depicted are really quite disturbing.

We moved on to the nearby neolithic burial mound known today as Kong Asker's Hoj.

Ann took a look inside the burial chamber.

We left the island of Mon and moved back to Zealand from where we crossed to Falster over this long bridge and finally onto the island of Lolland.

We stopped for the day at the town of Rodby. I'm not sure anything much ever happens here.

We found a nice quiet parking place. Lets hope it stays that way throughout the night.

To day we traveled 81 miles (130 kilometres). We are at N54.69675 E11.39174
