It was a beautiful morning at Morano Calabro. We filled and emptied the appropriate tanks and set off back to the east coast of Calabria.

We journeyed south down the main coast road until we reached Punta Alice which is the southernmost extremity of the Gulf of Taranto. There is a lighthouse here. We had been here in May 2012 and remembered it as a really nice spot. Here's the view from our parking place.

It was a really nice warm afternoon here today.

Punta Alice is quite a popular fishing spot - the only problem is that no one ever seems to catch any fish.

I had a try myself but was equally unsuccessful. I don't think that there are too many fish left in the Med.

We've parked our van in almost exactly the same place as we did in May 2012.

It's not really like winter here at all. More like Spring.........

........or Autumn. We bought some Calabrian wine today. It's called Magliocco - I'm not sure whether that's the name of the grape or the district it's from but it's very nice.
