Today the weather changed. After what seems like weeks of sunshine it rained today quite a lot. We travelled north, out of Campania, through Molise and finally into Abruzzo Region.

We crossed several high passes where snow still lay on the ground but the roads were completely clear.

We headed towards the town of Sulmona where readers may recall we were stuck in the snow between 29th and 31st December.

When we got to Sulmona we parked as near as possible to where we had been parked in December when all that snow arrived.

The reason we couldn't park in exactly the same spot was because that part of the car park was under one of numerous piles of snow which had been cleared from the car park and elsewhere in town.

We went into town and Ann bought a load of confetti. Not the stupid little paper discs that get thrown around at British weddings but really delicious sweets that get thrown around at Italian weddings.
