It was very wet during the night and it continued to rain off and on during the day. We travelled south and stopped at the town of Regua on the River Douro. We are parked on a piece of waste ground by the river,

The valley here is overlooked by a giant stature advertising Sandeman Port.

There are lots of waterfowl by the river.

We walked along the riverbank.

A shrine to the saint of boats perhaps?

Big river cruise boats come and go.

This one's got a swimming pool on the roof!

We walked back through the town.

We saw this old church.

We are parked close to this fine bridge. Beyond there is a modern motorway bridge.

As it got dark there was a beautiful sky.
