Thursday 17th November 2022

It rained a lot in the night and the day dawned wet and gloomy in Oropesa. I serviced  the van at the aire.

Ann took a walk into town and took a few pics.

We set off travelling north. We left the big roads and climbed up into the Sierra on a minor road. We stopped for a cup of tea at a view point , seen here, but there was no view.

We stopped briefly on a high pass.

It was very murky up on the pass.

As we descended the visibility improved.

All of a sudden the skies cleared and the sun came out.

We arrived at the village of Navarrevisca and stopped for the day. We are at the aire. The views are absolutely stunning!

This is an incredibly beautiful place - high up - about 1200 metres above sea level.

The bad weather we'd left lurked behind us but somehow stayed away.

The hillsides are very rocky round here. Maybe the best you could do to make a living would be to herd a few goats.

To the north of here we can see some high mountains.

As the sun got lower this evening there was some really nice light.

There are marvelous autumn colours.

The sun set behind the trees.

Here's the view from the side door of our van as the sun was setting this evening.

Today we travelled 58 miles (93 kilometres). We are at: N40.3686 W4.8893
