It was strange weather today. Sometimes clear sky and at other times showers. We travelled north. We stopped by this river.

There is a beautiful old bridge here.

The landscape is very rocky.

Further on we crossed this high pass.

Having crossed two ranges of sierras we descended to a great plain.

We passed through some small settlements.

We crossed large expanses of agricultural land.

We stopped for the day at the village of Narros Del Castillo. This is a small agricultural community.

We are at the aire which has a good service point, seats and exercise machines.

There is a weighbridge here which is used a lot by local farmers to weigh their laden trailers. It costs 30 cents to weigh a vehicle. I hope to find out how much our van weighs tomorrow before we leave here.

The land around the village is very flat. I went into the local shop and bought some bread and chocolate. The woman in the shop spoke excellent English!
