This morning the rain cleared away and we had a walk around Gavray. Quite a nice little town with a river running through

Later we moved on south to Fougeres - a really nice town with an impressive castle. We have a view of this from the aire where we are parked.

Ann thinks the Duchess has a redundant e.

We had a walk around town, the greater part of which is high above the castle which we thought rather unusual. Castles are usually on high ground.

Nearby is a large flooded quarry which we walked around.
