Today it was raining first thing but cleared up to some extent during the morning. Stopped for groceries before leaving Chateau-Gontier but then moved on south and crossed the Loire near Angers. Came on to Thouars where we parked with this good view of the old town walls.





Christmas decorations in town feature red shoes in a big way. Does anyone know the significance of this?
