Saturday 18th May 2019

It rained quite a lot overnight and this morning at Saint Vaast. We went back to the Supermarket at Quettehon to do a clothes wash at the launderette. As the day wore on the weather steadily improved.

We moved on to Montebourg and stopped for the day at the Aire de Camping Cars. The van parked next to ours has Irish registration plates.

We took a walk into town. The church is quite big for the size of the town.

This statue above the church door has a pigeon for company.

There is some okay stained glass to be seen inside.

We visited the public garden.

Who's he?

Next to the public garden is this nice pond. No fishing or bathing is allowed here.

It's a pleasant spot.

This Poplar tree nearby has vast amounts of Mistletoe.

We took a small steep path uphill towards our parking place.

Back at the Aire there is this good view into town.

Later on we took a walk out into the countryside along this narrow farm track.

There are spring flowers everywhere including many of the Early Purple Orchids. It was a beautiful sunny evening.

Today we travelled 21 miles (34 kilometres). We are at N49.48499 W1.37445
