Monday 13th May 2019

This morning I came back into Bristol and picked up Ann from her daughter Hannah's house where she had been staying over the weekend. We set off south and after doing a small supermarket shop in Shaftsbury  parked for the day at Fontmell Down in Dorset.

We went for a walk through the beautiful chalk uplands. This area is owned by the National Trust

The hawthorn bushes are in full bloom.

There are great views from here down to the surrounding lowlands.

As the day drew to a close the local cattle turned up in force to our parking place - perhaps in anticipation of the farmer coming to feed them. S/he never turned up and eventually they all filed off disconsolately!

There was a nice sunset.

Today I/we travelled 80 miles (129 kilometres). We are at N50.96766 W2.16355
