Good news this morning. Mrs May is resigning as Prime Minister of UKGBNI. She's the second worst Prime Minister we've had in my adult life after Mrs Thatcher who devastated our country. Mrs May was an absolute disaster from start to finish. To quote an old English saying "she couldn't knock the skin off a rice pudding". The worry is that we are now going to get someone even worse if indeed that is possible!

We serviced the van before leaving Saint Pierre sur Dives. We travelled north and stopped at the tourist attraction of Chateau de Crevecoer.

This place is a recreation of a manor from the middle ages.

It's all very nicely done.

Some of it really does date from the middle ages such as the remains of the Chateau pictured here.

Here's the Dovecote.

And here's inside. They have plastic doves and a tape playing cooing noises.

Here's the barn.

This the lord's bedroom.

And dining room.

The lord's toilet looks quite civilised until you realise that it drops down straight into the moat.

Here's the chapel.

This is the farm house.

The accommodation in here isn't as posh as in the chateau.

The moat is quite impressive.

I think this place is a great educational resource and there were indeed lots of school parties visiting while we were there. For me it was a little disappointing specially when it cost 8 euros each to get in.

We stopped for the day at the town of Pont L'Eveque.

It's quite a nice little place.

Here's the church. It had its roof and tower blown off in the fighting in 1944 but has been well put back together.

There's a nice water feature next to the tourist office.

We bought some of the town's cheese and some fresh bread to have for our tea.

Ann got her chair out.

Our parking place is really nice and quiet. The river flows behind the nearby trees.

There is a lot of duck activity going on around our van this evening.

Today we travelled 28 miles (45 kilometres). We are at N49.28517 E0.18911
