Wednesday 3rd May 2017

Today started rainy and misty. Before leaving Hulst we did a supermarket shop. Initially our route took us back into Belgium and we had a nasty brush with heavy traffic in Antwerp. We then headed north east and back into Netherlands eventually crossing the Rhine at Arnhem on this bridge.

After a long journey we crossed from Netherlands into Germany and stopped at the town of Schuttorf. We got our bikes out for the first time on this trip.

We found some good cycle paths to ride on starting right next to our parking place.

Just about everywhere we have been in Europe is miles (or kilometres) ahead of Britain when it comes to the provision of cycle paths,

A Turkish lorry came and parked near to us and the driver opened a locker on the side where he kept his food supplies, camping stove and folding stool. Here he is preparing his evening meal.

Today we traveled 199 miles (320 kilometres). We are at N52.32206 E7.22648
