This morning we took the short ferry ride across the Sognefjiord and on through a long tunnel to the town of Sogndal where we stopped to visit the state run alcohol shop to buy some wine and spirits as well as groceries at the adjoining Co-Op. We came on north west to a rest area off route 5 where we stopped for the day.. This valley is called Svidalen. We are at about 350 metres above sea level. The lake is still partially frozen and there are snow patches all around.The trees have not even begun to come into leaf. It has rained continuously all day.  Here's the view from our parking place.

Today we traveled 46 miles (74 kilometres) excluding the ferry trip. We are at N61.33283 E6.92498
