Friday 19th May 2017

The weather was clearing this morning and got better and better as the day wore on. We visited the Stave Church at Rodven - locked and very badly adulterated by post medieval "improvers".

We did see this old wood carving on one of the church doors.

I took this picture of the pews through a window.

We stopped at Eresfyord to buy groceries. The town is adorned with numerous static multicoloured bicycles perched in improbable places. Later we stopped at Sunndalsora to buy wine at Vinmonopolet (the state monopoly alcohol shop).

We stopped for the day at a rest area near the village of Gjora on route 70. We had Swedish (Norwegian?) meat balls for tea - the height of technical difficulty when it comes to campervan cookery!

We had a nice view out of our sliding side door. Some Norwegian vanners turned up and lit a fire.

Today we traveled 114 miles (184 kilometres). We are at N62.55058 E9.09396
