Early start this morning to catch the 9.00 ferry to Langesund in southern Norway - here we are lined up with numerous German vans waiting to board.

Our ship soon arrived unloaded and loaded up again.

After a really nice but pricey buffet breakfast we settled down up front for the 4 hours 30 minutes crossing to Norway.

As we got near we could see misty mountains.

Here we are down on the vehicle deck next to an enormous German lorry getting ready to arrive.

After disembarking at Langesund we headed south west down the Norwegian coast stopping briefly at this nice lake to check our bearings.

We stopped for the day at the fjord side village of Sondeled.

It's a nice low key little place with a small marina and a few shops. Here's the view from our parking place in the long term car park. Later on, just as it was getting dark, we saw an otter swimming in the fjord close to where we are parked.

We traveled 59 miles (95 kilometres) today (excluding the four and a half hour ferry crossing from Hirtshals to Langesund). We are at N58.76024 E9.07342
