Today we continued to travel north through northern Germany and after stopping off to do a supermarket shop we stopped at the town of Tonning on the banks of the river Eider. We parked at what we thought was the town aire but what turned out to be much more like a campsite! We got our bikes out.

There is a launderette on site - here's Ann arriving back at the van with the newly washed and dried clothes!

We took a ride along the river bank for a while. I forgot to take any photos but did get this one of Ann as she arrived back.

Germany is way ahead of Britain when it comes to the production of renewable energy. Here are some of the many wind generators sited on the far bank of the Eider seen from where we are staying tonight.

Today we traveled 48 miles (77 kilometres). We are at N54.30880 E8.93710
