Sunday 21st May 2017

Despite expectations it was quite noisy in our parking place in Orkanger during the night - someone had thrown a party in an adjoining house. In the morning the previous day's sun had gone and it was grey and overcast. We headed north to the ferry terminal at Selva. The landscape here is reminiscent of the far north west of Scotland.

We crossed the mouth of the Trondheim Fjord to Brekstad on this ferry. From there we traveled north east through wild forested country.

As the day wore on it became first windy and then wet and windy. We stopped for the day not far from the town of Osen at this fabulous wild camping spot on an island in the middle of a fjord connected on one side by a bridge and on the other by a causeway. This view is out west towards the Norwegian Sea. We are surrounded on all sides by water. Sorry about the refection of my watch in this picture taken through the windscreen. The weather is too foul for me to want to go outside!

Today we traveled 107 miles (172 kilometres). We are at N64.28949 E10.44474
