Tuesday 6th December 2016

This morning we took the short journey south to Carteret where where we did a minor shop at Carrefour and took on water. Just down the road at Barneville we stopped for the day (and night) by the quayside.

We got our bikes out and had a ride around. We saw these isolated beach huts and decided to take a closer look.

Here we are at the beach huts.

This one's Ann's favorite.

This one's mine. Personally I think beach huts are about style over substance - just like VW Campervans!

Nearby Ann saw this strange painting on the cliff side.

Our bikes are new for this trip. They fold up and fit under the bed so there is no need for an external bike rack. Brilliant!

Later on we saw this amazing "Turner Sky".

Up at the nearby lighthouse we saw these aspirant para gliders failing to take off.

We took a walk along one of the breakwaters and descended down the steps to make footprints in the pristine sand.

Today we traveled 12 miles (19 kilometres). We are at N49.37308 W1.78952
