Up early this morning to catch the ferry to Cherbourg. Here we are queuing up to board.

The ferry left slightly early. It was murky weather at first but we could follow our progress on screen.

Later on in the crossing the sun came out.

Coming into Cherbourg we saw some interesting old fortifications.

We arrived in Cherbourg on time and moved on to Surtainville on the west coast of the Cherbourg peninsula. We parked the van at the Aire de Camping Cars, got on our bikes and went for a walk on the beach.

Here we are arriving back at the van.

There was a nice sunset.

Today we traveled 20 miles (32 kilometres) (plus the distance covered on the ferry crossing from Poole to Cherbourg). We are at N49.46385 W1.82765
