Today we traveled south from Normandy into Pays de la Loire. We stopped off along the way to take on LPG and groceries. We had a look at the Aire in the town of Laval but it was jam packed with vans and cars so we moved on. We have stopped for the night at the Aire de Camping Cars by this lake at the village of Villiers-Charlemagne. We got our bikes out and cycled round the lake.

Ann reckons she has never really had a bike of her own till now so she is getting in lots of practice to gain confidence. Just after this photo was taken I was nearly savaged by a vicious dog belonging to some fishing persons who were camped out by the lake for the duration.

After the circumnavigation of the lake we cycled into the village centre and had a look at the church which Ann didn't think looked particularly interesting.
