Today came south through Augustow Forest to Augustow town. Stopped at a truckstop just the other side of town to take on water and empty waste. Came on to Barwik, a very remote location in Biebrza National Park. Found this forest clearing to stop in.

Had a walk around - found the well.

The place is absolutely crawling with shrines! In this one has a fir cone for a head. 

What is this one about? All these shrines and no people apart from an empty tent with a Netherlands registered trailer next to it!

Just a few metres away is this cross. 

There is also this rustic cottage here and what appear to be the burial sites of the last inhabitants of a ruin next door. All a bit spooky.
