Friday 6th May

This Green Woodpecker came to visit the car park at the National Park this morning.

We traveled the short distance to the village of Stolpe where we saw this stork's nest

The main attraction at Stolpe is this 12th century fortress.

It cost 2 euros to go up the tower. Ann got this great view down to the village from the top. I stayed at the bottom.

We went into Schwedt to take on fresh water and empty waste at the marina. We saw this nice viking style boat. Ann had a shower in the marina facilities. We then shopped for groceries and filled our LPG cylinders.

We went east over the river Oder into Poland and stopped for the night in a car park by a church in the town of Pyrzyce.

The church's bells hang from a structure in the church yard.

Just the other side of the church is this pond. At six p.m. the congregation turned up for mass after the bells were rung. There were quite a few attending and given that it's Friday evening they must be pretty keen on the god stuff round here.

Today we traveled 68 miles (109 kilometres).
