We retraced our route north from Gavarnie down the beautiful valley we came up yesterday. We stopped for a supermarket shop which included buying new folding chairs.
We then travelled west crossing the sensational Col D'Aubisque 1700 metres.
There were marvellous views along the way.
This male sheep causes a bit of a traffic jam.
Eventually we started to descend. It was a long way down.
Here's the skiing resort of Gourette - almost deserted at this time of year.
We stopped for the day at this layby by a river near Bielle. This is I think the first wild camping stop we've made on this trip.
We tried out our new chairs.
Some fishing people turned up. They didn't catch anything.
This place is prone to sudden flooding.
We had a long talk with this local woman.
There is only one downside to this beautiful place - there are too many flies!
As the light faded we and the flies settled down for the night.
Today we travelled 65 miles (105 kilometres). We are at: N43.0483 W0.4196
